When your pet isn’t feeling their best, you need a veterinary team you can trust to respond quickly and compassionately. At Etowah Animal Hospital, we provide urgent care and emergency veterinary services during our regular business hours.

We understand that illnesses and injuries don’t happen on a schedule. That’s why we do everything possible to make sure your pet is seen and cared for, even when appointments are full.

How Our Urgent Care Works

If your pet is experiencing an urgent issue during business hours, please call us first at to speak with a member of our team. Calling first allows our team to:

  • Triage Your Pet—This allows us to understand and prepare for your pet's needs as well as evaluate if their condition is better treated at a local emergency practice.
  • Evaluate Availability—When possible we will work to get you and your in on the same day, either as a scheduled appointment or a day admissions evaluation.
  • Prepare for Your Arrival—If your pet is able to be treated at Etowah Animal Hospital calling ahead allows our team to prepare for your arrival and get ready to treat your pet.

Our team will evaluate and treat your pet in between appointments, ensuring they’re not left waiting for care. While here, your pet will rest comfortably in one of our Casco Pet WellKennels, designed to reduce stress and maintain a controlled, comfortable climate.

Even when we’re fully booked, your pet’s health remains our priority. We’re dedicated to offering care options whenever possible or recommend local alternative care options when it is not.
